We are USA based organization. We are looking to obtain an experienced firm to design, install and maintain a Fire Station Alerting System. This System should only alert the needed Fire Stations while not disturbing others through their Public Announcement System (PA). The PA systems at the Fire Stations that are not being dispatched will remain closed and will not hear the broadcast. The new Station Alerting System will be able to use both Radio and IP mediums. The selected System should provide open-architecture interface to facilitate seamless upgrades or replacements in the future and also shall be scalable.

The selected System will have a demonstrated capability to interface with TriTech VisiCAD system. It will simplify the unit status monitoring function and provide units additional incident specific information. This will relieve dispatchers of most of the workload of these functions by supporting direct entry/query of information from the field. The new System with its System generated alerting capabilities is expected to improve the City’s Fire Department response times.

The goals of the Fire Station Alerting Project are to:

1. Install a state-of-the-art solution for CFD that provides Station Alerting via both Radio and IP mediums.
2. Selected System will have demonstrated capability to interface with TriTech VisiCAD system.
3. Selected System should be able to automatically use the current MOSCAD Station Alerting System as a backup should the new primary System become unavailable.
4. Selected System should provide open-architecture interface to facilitate seamless upgrades or replacements in the future.
5. Selected System should be scalable.
6. Selected System should be capable of handling peak call loads with ease.
7. Selected System should process the selection of units for assignment to calls effectively, and help assure that optimal units are selected.
8. Selected System should provide easy move-up alerting functionality.
9. Integration between the new CAD subsystem with the proposed Station Alerting System.
10. Integration of the Mobile Data Computers with the proposed Station Alerting System.
    

Payment will on agreed milestones. Interested providers are requested to send their proposal on or before DECEMBER 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. via post or courier only. All questions are due by 2:00 p.m. on DECEMBER 4, 2008 via e-mail only. For more specification of the requirement refer the tender document. This tender is global and offsite.
