Project Details:

Type : Tender

Id : 21002138

Category : Software & Technology

Title : Web Content Management System

Estimated Budget : 40000$ to 80000$ (Australian Dollars)

Description :

We are Australia based organization. We are looking for reputed and qualified software development providing firms. We are looking to purchase and implement a web content management system (CMS) to assist in the management of our Intranet and public website. Our estimated budget for this service is 40000$ to 80000$ (Australian Dollars). Currently the web team manually marks up all web content using Dreamweaver and manually publishes it to the websites using FTP software.

Specific CMS requirements:
  1. Very simple to use for non-technical authors.
  2. Common tasks (such as creating and updating pages) in the CMS should be streamlined, with the number of steps and clicks minimized.
  3. Overall time needed to complete common tasks should be minimized.
  4. The CMS should be robust and error-proof, for example: ensuring that content is not lost if authors ‘click away’ from the current page.
  5. Locking down the formatting controls available to authors, with the expectation that they will be only able to specify bold, italic, superscript, subscripts, links, etc (and not font, colour, and the like).
  6. Most of the content will be cut-and-pasted from Microsoft Word. The CMS must therefore strip out the formatting and hidden codes introduced by Microsoft Word, to ensure the HTML is valid and accessible.
  7. Lists and bullets in the source Word document should be mapped across to standard HTML list tags.
  8. Authors should not be required to have HTML knowledge when writing content. Access to any ‘view as HTML’ mode should be restricted.
  9. Automated publishing of pages on specified future publishing dates (and times).
  10. Ability to enter specific URL ‘aliases’ that point to pages on the site.
Payment will be released on each agreed milestones. Interested providers are requested to send their proposal on or before 10th October, 2008 by 2:00 pm (ACT Local time). For more specification have a look on attachment.
