We are Ireland based organization looking for a Skilled Java Developer to assist with the current work programme for the maintenance and ongoing development. The requirement is immediate. The successful candidate will work with the Business Information System Development Team. They will participate as a normal member of the team but will be capable of working on their own imitative and leading aspects of the project. They may be asked to sit on Project Steering Groups, interview stakeholders, manage distinct pieces of work and manage users.

Skilled Java Developer Position:

The main responsibilities of the position are:

1. Provide support for Oracle/J2EE web applications.
2. Provide support for migration of Oracle web applications and databases from Enterprise to standard environments.
3. Implement enhancements projects on the Oracle/J2EE web applications.
   

The key characteristics/skills being sought in the Skilled Java Developer position are:

Required:

1. A minimum of five years work experience using Oracle application server and PL/SQL in a web based environment.
2. Strong problem solving ability in the Oracle web application environment
3. Experience of developing common components.
4. Proven experience in similar work environments
5. Excellent communication and documentation skills
6. Teamwork skills and a positive attitude are essential
7. Flexibility, initiative and self-motivation
8. Should have experience in the following areas:
9. Various software engineering processes, Traditional Waterfall, RAD & Boehm's Spiral Model, DSDM.
10. Systems, Load & Performance Testing
11. Functional Specification Creation.
12. Configuration Management
13. J2EE Packaging and Deployment.
14. J2EE Configuration
15. Design Patterns
16. Object Oriented Design
    

It is an ONSITE work where in the appointed JAVA Developer will need to work with our Business Information System Development Team.
