Description :

We are New Zealand based Library. We are looking for a experienced and qualified service provider for our requirement of Online Library Management System. This system must be capable of supporting an online public access catalogue, cataloguing, circulation, acquisitions and reporting functions. We are currently using DBTextworks databases through the e-Library platform. There are approximately 7500 bibliographic records in the library databases. The Library shares a 5-user licence with the Records team, who currently use a DBTextworks database in conjunction with an electronic records system.
Scope of services:

1. Offering state of the art technology that is able to embrace future technological innovations.
2. The information in the Library System must be available from a variety of locations and to remote users.
3. New relationships, new queries and new reports should be able to be added or modified without changing the programme source code. Users should be able to get needed information without moving hierarchically between system and modules.
4. The system should provide hot links to redirect a search to other authors, titles, or subjects in a bibliographic record (tracings). Describe, including the level to which this is customizable.
5. The system must allow creation, editing and deletion of records in standard communication formats.
   

Payment terms are negotiable. Interested service providers are requested to send their proposal on or before 4.00 pm on Friday 26 June 2009 via post, courier or hand delivered only.
